March 9, 2010 JUMP DAY!!!

Well it is finally here! Jump's official release day! And I just recieved great news- JUMP is already in its 3rd printrun! I can't believe it! On its first day!

Also, the book is not in Barnes and Noble yet (So bug them for it!), but Borders did order a bunch of them. Or better yet, find a mom and pop bookstore with it!!

Thanks everyone! And if you are hunting for a first printrun copy, you will want to keep your eyes out for this little stamp on the last page of the book! If it doesn't have this, it is a second or 3rd run! But I am sure there are a TON of first printruns out there still.

Could I be any more excited about JUMP coming out tomorrow, March 9th? I don't think so!!! It has been getting great reviews! Here is the latest from Kirkus:

Kirkus review of JUMP:
"Nature's predatory pecking order reveals itself in bouncy rhymes and goofy illustrations. A fly, a frog, a cat, a hound, a crocodile and a shark get gobbled in succession after dramatic, last-ditch escape attempts. Each verse, sung from the animal's perspective, ends with an ellipsis, followed by a double-page spread of the critter leaping to save its hide. Children will enjoy helping the animals scram by shouting the word "JUMP!" which appears on these pages in large, expressive lettering. Fischer cleverly leaves the lip-smacking gore off the page, keeping his picture book palatable. Readers receive only mild, comic clues about the animals' demise.
